The folks at the Eat Well Guide have teamed up with Consumers Union and issued a challenge: This Thanksgiving, go out and find at least one local ingredient to use in a dish for the festive table. Could be a green, some local kale or chard? Could be the turkey itself, if you you are lucky enough to know where to get a fresh turkey raised in your area? Could even be the yams that everyone drools over.
Once Thanksgiving chefs have done this, Eat Well is encouraging them to put your recipe online, to share it with the world.
